A Diverse Mix of Live Music: featuring James Popik & Supernova 4

Described as groove-oriented jazz fusion with improvisational energy and danceable rhythms, Supernova, is led by James Popik, a New Jersey-based guitarist, singer-songwriter. Known for blending jazz, jam-band improvisation, funk, and rock influences into what he calls Festival Jazz,
the group has performed at festivals throughout New Jersey and the Northeast. Musically, Supernova draws influence from artists like Pat Metheny, Wes Montgomery, John Scofield and Chick Corea.

This year the The Mayor’s Music Series features an array of talented local musicians. Come out and dance, bring a picnic or just stop by for a moment to listen.
