Live in Rahway

Why Rahway? Why Not?!

This lovely town, a mere thirty minutes from NYC by train, has what you want!

Modern luxury apartments steps from the train station, single family homes with lush backyards overlooking Milton Lake or something in between, Rahway offers the perfect fusion of urban and suburban life! This community of 28,000 is both big enough to give the feel of a city but still small enough for you to greet your neighbors.

The Willows at Rahway is a new affordable rental community with a focus on Artists located within our Rahway Arts District. The community consists of one, two and three bedroom apartments featuring a host of amenities. The Willows at Rahway caters to the artist community with designated artist spaces and residence meeting space. For more information go to

With both the North Jersey Coastline and Northeast Corridor train lines stopping in Rahway, the activity gives this vibrant town’s residents and commuters access to travel “down the shore”, or a straight shot “to the City (NY)” or access to any of major cities on the east coast with easy connect to the Amtrak stations.

But there is no need to leave Rahway for your fun! Many great restaurants and eateries pepper this vibrant downtown. Peruvian, Mexican, American cuisine, Latin, Italian… so many choices! Grab a bite before or cocktails and tapas after one of the amazing and diverse shows offered by the Union County Performing Arts Center in one of their several venues. Children’s programming, including sensory friendly shows, singalongs, Wine and Jazz nights, nationally recognized comedians, and world class concerts are just a few of the class acts that grace the stages of the UCPAC.

Want to be a part of the magic? No problem! Rahway has several community theater
companies that showcase our local talent. Sign up for the UCPAC emails and your nights and weekends will be filled with culture and fun!

Take a seat in one of the urban parks or pop up parklets sprinkled throughout the downtown or venture outside of the downtown to scenic Milton Lake Park or Rahway River park which showcases beautiful views as well as a myriad of recreational activities for whatever you are looking to explore.

Street festivals happen all year round in this active downtown area: Hot Rods and Harleys, Rahway Day, Culture Crawl and Winter Wonderland, just to name a few.

Active volunteer groups as well as welcoming social meetup groups promise that interested parties will stay entertained and connected.
